The Poetry of Bob Dylan Free Lesson Plan
Within this lesson plan are all the tools necessary to educate your students on poetic verse and structure. This lesson focuses on two of Dylan’s most poetic songs, “Mr. Tambourine Man” and “It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Bleeding),” and includes a number of questions you can use to facilitate class discussion on lyrical analysis. By closely reading each song as a class, your students will further develop their ability to recognize the poetic force behind Dylan’s work.
