What discounts do you offer on paperbacks?
We offer discounts of up to 35% on every paperback book we carry, including popular titles such as Fahrenheit 451, The Great Gatsby, and Night.
Our base discount for all our books is 25%, so you'll never pay full retail price.
If the total retail value of all the items on your order is $500 or more, you'll receive a 30% discount on all your paperbacks.
And if the total retail value of your order is over $2,500, you'll save 35% on your paperbacks.
Plus, our Literary Touchstone Classics are always at least 50% off the retail price.

How do I use a school purchase order to buy from you?
To use a school purchase order during checkout, your billing address must be a valid school address.
You can use the handy "Find Schools" button on the checkout page to find your school by Zip Code*. Select your school's address, and you'll automatically be authorized to pay using a purchase order.
Once you've finished your purchase, fax us the purchase order at 888-718-9333 and we'll send you your items as soon as possible.
*If your school isn't in the School Finder, please call us at 800-932-4593.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments by bank checks, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover), electronic funds transfers (EFT), automated clearing house (ACH) transfers, and wire transfers.
Please note that for large orders over $3,000, we will charge a 3% credit card surcharge to offset the costs of credit card processing fees. To avoid this fee, please pay via check or ACH. Visit our Payment Information page for more details.

What are your standard shipping rates?
Shipping rates are determined by the monetary value of your order. Our shipping rates are as follows:

When will I receive my order?
Most customers receive their orders within 10 business days.
Orders shipped via Standard Shipping are sent via UPS Ground, UPS, Surepost, or USPS Priority. We ship all of our orders from our warehouse in Delaware, so the following shipping estimates by region generally hold true:

We ship over 97% of orders within 24 hours.
Orders placed over the weekend or after 12 PM on Friday will be shipped on Monday provided that the items on the order are in stock.
If you need your order more quickly, UPS three-day, two-day, and overnight service are available.

What options are available for expedited shipping?
We offer expedited services from UPS, including Next-Day, 2nd-Day, and 3rd-Day Air.
Your shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout. Shipping costs depend on your location and the weight of the package.
Expedited orders placed after 2 PM Eastern Standard Time will not ship until the following business day.

I live outside the US and Canada or in a US territory. Can I still order from you?
Yes! Our downloadable products are available to customers worldwide.
Unfortunately, we are at this time unable to ship physical objects to addresses outside the continental US, HI, AK, US protectorates (such as Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands), and Canada.

What do I do if my shipment contains damaged, missing, or incorrect items?
Please email our friendly customer service staff at info@prestwickhouse.com with your order number and a description of the damaged, missing, or incorrect items. We will get back to you within one business day with a resolution. Alternatively, you may call us during our regular business hours at 800-932-4593 for immediate help.
All claims for adjustment must be made within 60 days of receipt.

How do I access the downloadable teaching guide I've just purchased?
To purchase and download teaching guides from Prestwick House, you must first have registered an account on prestwickhouse.com. Your downloadable teaching guide will be permanently stored within your prestwickhouse.com account.
To access your downloadable teaching guide:
- Log in to your prestwickhouse.com account.
- Click My Resource Library at the top of the page.
- Click the teaching guide you wish to download.
Once you've downloaded your teaching guide, you can save it to your computer.
All of our downloadable teaching guides are in PDF format. You can download free software necessary to read documents in this format, Adobe Reader*, by clicking here.

How do I order tests or teacher's editions of Prestwick House resources?
We do not list test packages and teacher's editions of Prestwick House books on our website to keep students from trying to order them. If you're a teacher or school and you'd like to order a teacher's edition or test, you can do so by phone at 800-932-4593, but please note that they can only be shipped to school addresses. We're unable to ship any products with answer keys to home addresses.

Does Prestwick House charge sales tax?
Due to recent changes in federal laws, Prestwick House is now required to collect sales tax in the following states:
AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, NV, NJ, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV
Please note that each state, county, and city have different rules about which items are elligible for sales tax.
If your school or institution holds a tax exemption certificate from your state, you can check a box during checkout for instructions on how to send us a copy of that document. While processing your order, we will validate your certificate and manually remove the appropriate sales tax from your order. Please note that not every state allows every product to be tax exempt for all certificates.
