After reading about some great April Fools' Day pranks that teachers have played on students in the past, we thought we'd help you out with a ready-to-use prank as this month's free lesson plan.
This lesson is a vocabulary lesson full of fake words identified as the most frequently missed words in a survey by US News and World Report and a word search which features only the answer "April Fools." See how long it takes your students to figure out that words like:
- Stradivaric - having an irrationally high monetary value
- Ichrothopic - pertaining to biology influenced by public roads and thoroughfares
- Axomachilliax - a person who is remarkably unperturbed by distressing or exciting news
aren't real.
