Writing Arguments in Response to Nonfiction
The latest lesson plan was just added to the English Teacher's Free Library — Writing Arguments in Response to Nonfiction.
In this lesson, your students will read three historical documents about the birth of nuclear power: a letter from Einstein to President Roosevelt, an article from Popular Science Monthly, and some television remarks from Einstein to Eleanor Roosevelt in the 1950s.
Your students will then evaluate each article for relevant supporting details and craft a written response to these articles.
